The Old Bell Inn

"Your Legendary Southside Local"

A traditional pub in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Southside, featuring the very best cask conditioned ales from craft brewers all over Scotland, all major sporting events on large screens, and traditional pub grub freshly prepared by the chefs from the New Bell Restaurant upstairs.

Calton Gold - Edinburgh Draught

Clark Bennett at The New Bell

We're very happy to welcome Clark Bennett, the new head chef and driving force behind the New Bell Restaurant. Clark's hit the ground running, with not only a new bar menu and ever changing restaurant menu, but also a rather fantastic sounding six course celebration for Valentine's Day. We're now taking bookings for all three and hope to see you very soon!

Sunday Carvery

3 courses, £10, no washing up. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

Accomodation

Don't let the "Inn" bit in our name fool you - we don't have any rooms to let. We can, however, highly recommend the gorgeous Teviotdale House, just around the corner. teviotdalehouse.com

Live Music - Every Saturday!

Every Saturday night from 8pm, and includes a free buffet!

Live Music Night!

Join us on Saturday the 2nd of November for a big night of live music - we'll have two live local acts, a free buffet and we'll be rounding the evening off with karaoke to let our customers (and maybe even Gav) strut their funky stuff!

It's all entirely free, just pop down, lubricate your vocal cords and let rip.

(Regarding the picture, that's a bedwarmer, not a banjo. But you get the idea.)

Drink Of The Month - The New Red Bull Range

Everybody knows Red Bull, they've taken the soft drinks market by storm over the last decade or so. Unusually, they're also the people behind one of the most successful F1 teams ever, Felix Baumgartner's multiple-record-breaking space dive and the exploits of many, many others, including Scottish trials rider Danny MacAskill.

Danny's "breakthrough" video started just around the corner on the ramparts of Edinburgh castle, but his latest one is something slightly different - and absolutely stunning. Stay tuned until the end for proof that he does fall off sometimes!

Win A Party with Red Bull and Why Not

Why Not Nightclub on George Street is running a competition throughout October - fancy winning a party for you and 7 mates! See their website for full details.
